AND BARF AGAIN
Long time, no update, as per usual. I’ve been busily preparing for a pretty fun show I’m participating in, and IT’S TOMORROW. Vermillion is a really lovely gallery/bar in my neighborhood, gallery in front, bar with mac n cheese in back. The atmosphere is really relaxed (reminds me of KRAFTBRAU!!) and the bartender Brian is a real swell feller (reminds me of GREEN TOP). Needless to say, I feel right at home having a show there, and it’s with two artists/friends that I really love. Nikki Burch (nikkiart.carbonmade.com) and Derek Erdman (derekerdman.com) is WHO! They real nice. And so talented. Obviously, I’m pretty excited.
SO HERE IS A TASTE OF THE FUTURE:
SEE YOU THERE TOMORROW NIGHT AT 7pm. Between Pike and Pine, on 11th.
My friend Derek Erdman recently opened a gallery in Seattle, in the I.D. (666 Jackson St.). It is called the International House of Pancakes. It’s awesome. And he had a group show there last Thursday that I had 9 pieces in! WHOA MOMMY.
Here are a couple samples. Before being painted, framed, etc. I’ll have all of the pieces photographed and uploaded here in a couple of weeks.
I will be doing another show in December, with Derek, at the local gallery Vermillion. I really like Vermillion. They have cheap beer and macaroni and cheese. And I usually like the shows there. So I’m excited about this. Also, the back room/bar area reminds me so much of Kraftbrau, which was the best place ever. Pretty much.
Updating this site is really hard. In my head I think of this as an “uphill battle”, which then makes me think of everyone’s favorite Miley Cyrus song, The Climb. So I guess updating my blog makes me think about Miley Cyrus.
I’ve been really busy lately, working a lot and crying a lot and also preparing for some ART SHOWS. I was in a group show on Sept. 11th, a 911 themed art show. I made a drawing of the tshirt I was wearing on September 11th, 2001. Of Mickey and Minnie getting ready to board a jumbo-jet to in NYC. PRETTY WEIRD. Here it is:
RIGHT ON, MANNN.
